Project Graduation continues fundraising
Three car washes are scheduled at Doubles Beachside from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Feb. 15, Feb. 22, and March 1 to help benefit Project Graduation. The parent committee is trying to raise more funds for a successful Project Graduation at Andretti Thrill Park on May 23. Last fall the committee held a golf tournament at Suntree Country Club, which raised money to go towards the cost of Andretti’s.
“PG (Project Graduation) is still in need of more funds to be able to have all the food, prizes, and cash cube that we would like to have,” committee volunteer Lesley Sheridan said. “PG Letters have also been written to local businesses in the community as well as letters to senior parents and underclassmen asking for donations, in either monetary or in kind since there will be a raffle with prizes.”
All students and parents are encouraged to volunteer at the car wash and will earn volunteer hours for helping out. If anyone is interested in volunteering email Sheridan at [email protected].
