Band members have been preparing to play in the pit orchestra for this weekend’s performance of the Broadway musical “Once Upon a Mattress” in the West Shore auditorium.

“Tech week rehearsals are super-long and stressful, but it pays off if everything comes together well in the performance,” junior Emma Kent said. “It takes a lot of work, but it is amazing to see the West Shore community put on an amazing production.”

The members current are participating in tech week each evening from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m.

“It’s a good chance to perform and get better. It’s also fun to hang out with other musicians in tech week,” junior Marc Spurlock said. “We have talented players and will put on a great show.”
