Led by sophomore Ashley Pekmezian who scored a hat trick, the girls’ soccer team dominated Astronaut High School 9-1 Friday night.
“All the younger players have really stepped up from last year,” senior Amanda Farthing said. “It showed when Ashley scored three goals.”
The team connected well to win the game.
“We worked hard, and came together as a team,” senior Lauren Dietl said. “All the practices finally paid off.”
Other contributors to the victory included senior Diana Sheedy with two goals, senior Ciera Misner with one goal, junior Briana Basta with one goal, junior Micah Weber with one goal and freshman Erica Lobmeyer with one goal.
The girls’ next regular season game is away against Edgewood on Tuesday at 7:00 p.m.
