The school’s theater department will perform the musical comedy “Once Upon a Mattress” on Feb. 27 and 28 in the  auditorium.

The broadway play is about Princess Winnifred who is tested to see whether or not she is worthy of marrying the queens’ son, Prince Dauntless. The comedy will star senior Kara Marin as Princess Winnifred and junior Sam Niemier as Dauntless.

With only one month to fully prepare for the play, sophomore Lizzie Guerra seems confident in her classmates.

“One of my favorite parts of doing theater is how things come together,” she said. “It can be final dress rehearsal, and it’s all a little bumpy and everyone’s nervous, but somehow, it all comes together. It’s almost like magic how shows get put together.”
