The National Honor Society inductions will be on Oct.1, according to club sponsor Melissa Henderson.

“We [members of NHS] are just preparing for inductions,” Henderson said. “Ilana Krause [club president] and I have been working a lot to make the best out of the induction.”

According Krause, more than 80 students applied to NHS this time around.

“The induction is going to be huge,” Krause said. “We not only have the new applicants but we also have all the people that didn’t get inducted last spring.”

According to member Yasemen Turkmen the more members the club has, the more activities they will be able to do to benefit the community.

“I’m glad to see that a lot of people are interested in joining NHS,” Turkmen said. “I hope we get a lot more done this year.”
