In need of a sponsor after English teacher Nancy Gray left the school during the summer, National English Honor Society has turned to English teacher Jeannie Griffin to fill the position.
Cindy Thaung, last year’s NEHS president, said that she hopes Griffin will bring a new dynamic to the club.
“I’m trying to help students promote English,” Griffin said. “I would like to see students’ ideas and make sure their goals are achieved.”
Nancy Gray left her teaching position and NEHS sponsorship take the job as language arts resource teacher for Brevard Public Schools.
“I have loved working with NEHS,” Gray said when contacted via email. “I will miss the daily interaction with students but [I] know Mrs. Griffin will lead you in new and exciting adventures.”
