National History Day is in full swing in preparation for the state competition. Two seventh-graders have been working on their research papers for state, and plans are being made to attend Florida History Day — the state competition — from April 30 to May 1. In addition, a car wash has been planned for April, with a tentative date around Easter, and transportation is being arranged. The district is paying for substitute teachers for co-sponsors Kathy Thayer and Christine Clark while they are gone for the trip.
