With 11 points and 5 steals Skylar J. led the middle school girls’ basketball team to a 40-24 victory at Edgewood Thursday night.
“Other people told me I was the leading scorer, and I was proud because I started playing last year for Johnson Middle School and this is a huge improvement,” the eighth-grader said.
In addition, Jadasia N. led the team with 7 rebounds, while Elizabeth M. and Alyssa C. had 5 rebounds each.
The girls are scheduled to play their first home game tonight against Cocoa Beach at 5 p.m.
