The middle school dance team performed at the first home basketball game Tuesday in their first engagement of the season.

“We’ve practiced a lot,” eighth-grader Jasmine G. said. “I’m not nervous. We also did this a lot last year, so I think it will be good.”

However, some have never danced in front of a crowd before. It’s the first time their new members, including seventh graders Macie G., Lauren N., and Lexie P., have performed.

“Lexie has never danced in her life,” eighth-grader Jesse S. said before the game. “But she’s done cheerleading, so I think she can do it. They’re all going to do great because they’re really strong and have a lot of potential.”

The team danced to a mash-up of One Direction songs.
