Throughout the years, the cheerleading teams mainly have been made up of girls. But recently the number of male cheerleaders recently has risen to a school record.

“The team is like a family. and being a cheerleader opens up a lot of opportunities for colleges,” sophomore Vincent Guglietta said.

According to Coach Carrie Wadsinski, having more boys on the team helps with a variety of stunts.

“I am hopeful we will keep getting guys to join the cheer team,” she said.  “As long as we have great role models, I think more guys will keep joining the team.”
