Midterm success depends on preparation

With the second semester coming to an end, freshman Julien Wakim has started to prepare for the upcoming midterms in multiple ways.

“Aside from studying, I’ve been going to teachers during Power Hour to ask any last-minute questions,” Wakim said. “I’ve also been getting good amounts of sleep to ensure that perform my best.”

Guidance Counselor Spero Tshontikidis gives advice on methods that would benefit students for the exams.

“Things like getting your notes organized and making sure you’re taking advantage of Power Hour would help,” Tshontikidis said. “Prioritizing your work and focusing on classes that you struggle with also help you study productively.”

Tshontikidis also gave examples of things that students should avoid doing when preparing for midterms.

“If you wait until the last minute to cram your work, you won’t perform as well,” Tshontikidis said. “It’s a building process. W ithout being organized, it’s going to be much more difficult.”
