Middle-school dance starts at 7 p.m.

The middle school dance will be held in the school cafeteria at 7 p.m. Middle School Student Government will host the event, providing music and free food for attendees.

Administrated by teachers and other members of the school’s staff, the school’s dance policies of dress code and appropriate behavior will continue to be enforced.

“There was a misconception [at last year’s dance] that I was doing ‘inappropriate dancing’, which is totally not true,” said eighth-grader Kyle C., who plans to attend tonight’s event. “I’m excited for the dance this year because I’m going with a date and to am going to have a good time.”

Eighth-grader Kylie M., on the other hand, planned to sit out this dance.

“I don’t care about the dance and none of my friends are going,”  she said. “I’d rather have my own time than go to the dance since there’s absolutely no reason to go; nothing interests me.”

Editor’s note: Brevard Public Schools policy prohibits the inclusion of middle-schoolers’ last names on district web sites.
