The girls’ basketball team suffered a 60-17 loss to Melbourne Central Catholic on Tuesday in the Lady Wildcats’ final game of the season.

“This was honestly one of our worst games this season,” sophomore Zohra Mujeeb said. “They were beating us by a lot which sort of got the team’s spirits down.”

However, this game was not all bad news.

“Being down by a lot obviously isn’t very motivating during a game,” sophomore Lasya Damaraju said. “But we kept out composure throughout the game”

Mujeeb said the team kept its game face on throughout the night.

“We didn’t like freak out or anything, we stayed relatively calm which was good,” she said.

This was the final game of the girls’ basketball season.
