Lacrosse banquet succeeds despite inclement weather
On Saturday, the boys’ and girls’ lacrosse teams had their banquets. Lacrosse players and their families gathered at the beach for food and awards.
“I am proud of the team, we had a successful season,” girls’ coach Mike Moscrip said. “We came up a little bit short for the district finals game, luck just didn’t fall our way. But the girls fought till the end.”
The lacrosse girls finished with a season of 13 wins and three loses. The boys’ team left the season with two wins and 10 loses.
“The banquet was a great send off for the seniors and it was a lot of fun,” junior Jake Diamond said.
Despite the poor weather, the lacrosse banquet was still on and held under the pavilion.
“We had great season and the seniors will be missed,” junior Angela Ahern said. “We made it to district finals and I am very proud of my team. Hopefully we will do even better next year.”
Special thanks were given to the coaches and board members for a great season.
