With Valentine’s Day just around the corner, Key Club is selling carnations as a fund raiser to benefit the March of Dimes.
“The carnations are being sold for $1 each in the cafeteria during lunch,” senior Bianca Taraschi said. “You can order the flowers through Tuesday.”
The March of Dimes is a non-profit organization working to improve the health of mothers and babies throughout the country.
“The fund raiser is going to a really good cause, and it’s also an opportunity to show a loved one that you care about them,” senior Nick De la Hoz said.
Key Club held a similar fund-raiser last year, and it proved successful.
“I think the money is going toward an important cause, and it will be a nice Valentine’s Day gift for my girlfriend,” freshman Naeem Motlagh said
Students can order any number of carnations, and they will be delivered with a custom message attached during lunch Tuesday .
