JV players pulled up to varsity for postseason

With the JV boys soccer season coming to a close, freshman Diego Prieto and sophomore Antonio Artidiello were pulled to varsity by head coach Austin Downie for postseason games.

“I’m glad I was able to be pulled up for the postseason,” Prieto said. “Even though I didn’t get to play as much as I did on JV, I still enjoyed being a part of the team.”

Artidiello said he was happy to gain experience with the varsity team and see what the game is like at the higher level.

“I’m glad I had the opportunity to see the difference between the level of JV and varsity,” Artidiello said. “It’s a lot more organized and at a quicker pace.”

The varsity boys made it to the regional quarterfinals where they lost 3-2 to Crescent City High School last week, closing out their season with a 13-4-2 record.
