Competing against sophomores Christopher Melchiori and Zuri Lawrence for Junior Class President, sophomore Marissa Patel plans to run in the elections that will take place May 7.

“I want to talk to this past year’s junior president, Jenna Winter, about planning all the class events,” Patel said. “I am taking three [Brevare Community College] classes next year, so I will have a lot of extra time before lunch to work on things outside of the club.”

Taylor Kelley and Yasmen Turkmen will be on the ballot for the vice president position.

“I am looking forward to elections,” Kelley said. “I am running for office because I want to bring the class together, and I really want to make sure Prom is the best it can be for the seniors next year.”
