The school’s Jazz Band performed on the school patio during both first and second lunch Friday.
“[Principal Rick] Fleming asked us to play,” band instructor Carol Allen said.
The performing students primarily are members of Allen’s fourth-period class.
“I only had to get five kids out of class,” Allen said.
Sophomore Jessica Blano said she enjoyed the show.
“They sounded really good. I didn’t know they were going to be performing,” she said. “It was a nice surprise.”
