Sophomore Jarrett Henkel essay placed first in the Brevard Public Schools’ “Be There” contest. Henkel has been invited to present his entry to the Parent Leadership Team meeting April 8 in the School Board room at Viera.

“Be There” is a district-wide multimedia research-based campaign designed to encourage parents to make ordinary moments extraordinary by connecting with their children during the daily routines of life.

One hundred percent of the research studies compiled by The Parent Institute, a campaign partner, indicates that parent involvement has a significant impact on student success and that it only takes a small increase in parent input to see measurable results in student output.
