Junior Erich Heinricher teamed up with senior Chris Wong to defeat Merritt Island Christian 8-0 in a boys’ tennis match Tuesday night.
“It was my first game back since I was injured, and I was a little rusty,” Heinricher said.
The pair won its doubles match and Heinricher won his singles game as well.
The team remains optimistic about the remainder of the season and its upcoming games.
“I’m looking forward to our next games because I think they’ll be easy,” sophomore Ben Mechachonis said. “We definitely have a shot at winning these next few matches.”
The team will next play Viera High School on Thursday.
