Girls’ travel soccer hits the road

Space Coast United girls played in the Jefferson Cup college showcase in Virginia on Sunday, coming away with a 1-1 tie against Aztec Soccer. 

 “The other team scored the first goal, which was a really bad penalty kick that was not even a foul,” freshman Jonelle Plahuta said. Then they scored an equalizer in the middle of the second half she said.

Meanwhile Indialantic Force came away with a 6-2 victory in Sanford against Florida Kraze Krush Soccer on Sunday.

Junior Lucia Carcieri had games in Sanford this weekend, with Sunday’s game ending in a 6-2 victory for her team. “The game started pretty good, we were up 3-0 in the first half,”Junior Lucia Carcieri said. After halftime they gave up two goals because they were no longer giving their full effort, she said.

Carcieri’s team has two games this weekend and needs to win both in order to move on in the state cup tournament.
