Girls’ soccer splits in preseason openers
November 3, 2016
The varsity girls’ soccer team kicked off its season this week, losing to Satellite 3-2 Tuesday and then dominating Rockledge 8-1 Thursday night.
Senior Ann-Marie Lally said the Lady Wildcats could have played better during the first game but that the loss helped the team to adjust and prepare for more challenging games in the future.
“I think we have the potential to do really well this season as long as everyone works hard [and] we come together more as a team,” she said.
Junior Lucia Carcieri agreed.
“I think we learned a lot from pre-season and realized what we had to work on for the regular season,” she said.
