Girls prevail in co-ed lacrosse fundraiser

With the final score 15-14, the girls won Kelly Hambel’s Senior Project lacrosse game. About $350 was raised and donated to the SADD club.

“The game was a lot of fun, I knew the girls were going to win from the start,” Hambel said. “I think the boys are jealous that the girls are so amazing at their sport.”

Throughout the game the boys were consistently called on for aggressive behavior and checking the girls’ sticks.

“The rules were so hard to play by and the girls abused them and got away with a lot of the calls against us,” sophomore Ryan Bellone said. “It was also really hard to play with the girls’ sticks, they have no pocket to catch a ball.”
