Girls’ lacrosse finishes season at 2-9

With victories against Eau Gallie and Melbourne Central Catholic, the girls’ lacrosse team finished its season at 2-9. Compared to the previous season, this showed improvement.

“Our season was great,” sophomore defensemen Casey Ahern said. “I’m proud of my team, we all had major improvements.”

The team will lose two seniors to graduation, leaving plenty of players to continue building their skills.

“The plan for next year is to continually practice, over the summer and fall to improve stick skills and team spirit,” Ahern added. “I feel like I really helped push the team get better every day. As a defensive starter, I need to work on bodying up and getting more aggressive.”

The team encourages current and incoming players to find summer teams to practice with over the summer. This will keep players in shape and keep up their stick skills.
