Girls’ baskteball falls to Eau Gallie

The girls’ varsity basketball team fell to Eau Gallie 54-26 Tuesday night.

“We got off to a slow start and only scored two points in the first quarter,” senior Taylor Smith said. ” They also played really good defense which caused us to turn the ball over and allowed them to get extra opportunities to score.”

Even though they are losing, the Lady Wildcats continues to improve and gain a little more experience with each game, according to senior Kayla Garoust.

“I believe that we can play better as a team because right now we are not playing our best basketball,” she said. “Everyone is upset since we have not won a game, but once we get our first win everything should begin to improve.”

The Lady Wildcats will next play at Astronaut on Friday at 7 p.m.
