The girls’ varsity basketball team crushed Brevard Christian 49-6 Thursday to move its record to 8-1.

“You girls are going to beat them but it has to be a fundamental win, so play hard and run your plays,”  Coach Fisher said before the game.

The girls had a strong start because they knew it wouldn’t be as rough of a game as their previous one against Cocoa Beach.

“We are going to have fun and it will be an easy game,” sophomore Lauren Burns said.
