The girls’ basketball team will hold a car wash Saturday from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. at the Wickham Road McDonald’s just off I-95 in Viera. The money raised will be used to finance the team’s participation in a summer-league program.
“These car washes are fun for the girls and it makes them raise the money themselves,” Coach Dave D’Esposito said. “It shows them that if they really want to play, then they have to work for it.”
Participation is mandatory for all players, and those who can’t attend must tell D’Esposito in advance.
“I hope a lot of people come because we actually do work hard to wash the cars well,” varsity player Jordan Bauer said. “Anyone who can come should definitely help.”
