The dance team made a little more than$2,000 from fund-raising efforts this school year.

“The dance team did a fantastic job fundraising, and we did better than I was expecting,” said junior and varsity dance team member Stephanie Shaw. “We ended up being really close to our goal of $2,400.”

The money the dance team raised for competition fees came from three car washes and a Zumba night fundraiser.

According to Coach April Shaw, there are no more fundraisers officially planned for this year.

“I think the dance team did a great job this year,” Coach Shaw said. “We didn’t even do any fundraisers that involved selling a product, which are usually big moneymakers.”
