French Honors Society has begun planning for the upcoming French week which will be held Nov. 8-14.
The themes will include La Vie en Rose, Mardi Gras, Bohemian, Romeo and Juliet and Masquerade.
FHS President Michelle Chin said it was a group effort to come up with the themes.
“During club we brainstormed ideas, and we used some of last year’s themes,” she said. “We all voted and then chose the top five themes from the list.”
Chin expects more students will participate in dressing according to the themes in comparison to last year.
“Now that we have a Facebook page more people will know about it and take part in French week,” Chin said.
French teacher Jennifer Walker said French Week is important to students and their knowledge of the culture.
“It shows the importance of French in daily life throughout the world,” she said. “Students learn about the French culture, foods and traditions.”
