Seniors Karl Krehbiel, Erica Sheedy and juniors Kat Forrey and John Bocinsky have been named to the All-Space Coast soccer teams by Florida Today newspaper as the best players in the the county for their positions.
“I’m thrilled to have made it,” said Sheedy, the girls’ varsity team captain. “It means a lot to have my hard work recognized, especially with the four of us representing such a small school with such little athletic recognition. I couldn’t think of a better finish to my senior season. It’s something I’ll always remember.”
Florida Today chooses 11 boys and girls from all throughout the county for each all-star team based on individual stats for each game and performance in districts.
“I was surprised and honored that I made the All-County Team,” said Krehbiel, the boys’ varsity team captain.“West Shore had such a good varsity team this year. I wasfortunate to be surrounded by good players because for one defender to look good, he has to have a really good squad like West Shore around him.”
