Drama sendoffs set for May 10
As the school year comes to a close, the drama department plans to host their senior sendoffs on May 10 at 7 p.m. During sendoffs, the underclassmen mimic the seniors’ personalities on stage in the auditorium for the 12th-grade students and their parents.
“I am looking forward to making fun of the seniors and reminding them of what they were like,” freshman Hope Dougherty said. “I think it will be really great to watch their reactions since they are probably not aware of their habits.”
Senior Michelle Smith said she is looking forward to being a part of the audience.
“I cannot wait to see what people think of me,” Smith said. “I am sure that it is going to be extremely funny because they have known me for a long time and will be able to impersonate me well.”
Freshman Kayelee Embry has already planned what she is going to do.
“I don’t really know the senior that I plan to mock but everybody told me that I would be able to portray her personality well,” Embry said. “This is my first time participating in senior sendoffs but I think it will be a very memorable experience for the underclassman and the seniors.”
