Dancers head to Jacksonville competition

The Rhythm in Motion Dance Studio is dancing its way into the end of its season with one last competition on Saturday.

“The competition is in Jacksonville and it’s called ‘Shake the Ground,’” freshman Ava Bussey said. “It’s our last competition before our recital so it’s a sad one because we have three seniors this year who are graduating.”

Other members of the team are affected by the seniors leaving as well.

“I am very sad that the seniors are leaving my dance team,” sophomore Sydney Eisert said. “They were a very important part of my dance experience so far because they are my friends and they kind of lead the team.”

The team has put in extra efforts to make sure it’s ready.

“I feel prepared for the upcoming competition because we have done a lot of extra conditioning and we have had a lot of extra rehearsals,” Eisert said.
