The dance team is holding a carwash at Doubles Beachside from 9 am. to 2 p.m. Saturday. This is the first of four they are planning for this year.

“We’re raising money for competition fees,” junior Erin Sheridan said. “We’re going to be going to UDA Regionals and Varsity needs money for their new costumes.”

Funds will benefit the junior varsity and middle school teams as well. They will all be competing at the Universal Dance Association competition in January. To raise enough money the team also has car washes at Burger King and Long Doggers, however Doubles always brings more business.

“Hopefully the turnout will be good,” junior Alicia Ortiz said. “Every year we usually have a carwash at doubles and they’re the most successful out of all the places we pick.”
