Construction continues — along with noise

Crash. Bang. A rumble can be heard outside of the classroom, and between classes, drilling, digging and planning is happening all around campus.

Facility upgrades have been taking place throughout the year, with the two biggest changes so far being the replacement of the auditorium’s air-conditioning system and carpeting. AC construction is still taking place around campus, and all of this construction has taken place throughout the school day.

Despite this, freshman Tori Fernandez seems unperturbed by it.

“It really hasn’t affected my classes,” she said. “I kind of didn’t know about it until Wednesday.”

Freshman Gabby Wills agreed.

“It doesn’t affect me at all, quite honestly,” she said. “I don’t know why people complain about it so often.”

The carpeting was replaced around Thanksgiving which has led to a crackdown on the no food or drinks policy in the auditorium. Currently, AC construction is continuing and in its next stage, with piping being run along buildings 2, 3 and 4.
