After going above .500 only one day earlier, the boys’ varsity basketball team evened its record again with 75-39 loss to Cocoa.
At the end of the first quarter, the Cats where down by 2 but but scored only 21 points the rest of the way compared to Cocoa’s 55.
Senior guard Anthony Wattwood led the Wildcats with 9 points, three rebounds and a steal. Senior center John Bond and senior guard/forward Tommy Panouses each scored 8 points.
“We did not play well at all on defense,” Coach Tony Riopelle. “[It was] a very disappointing effort on that side of the ball. Offensively I thought we did all right.”
The Cats are 1-5 without senior point guard Scott Adams, who played his last game for the Cats in their winter tournament before injuring his leg.
The Wildcats will wrap up their five game road trip Friday against Edgewood , who they defeated earlier in the season with a thrilling comeback victory.
