Sophomore Chase Hester scored two out of the eight goals and assisted on another as West Shore defeated Cocoa Beach 8-0 Wednesday.

“I was feeling it tonight,” Hester said. “We just came off a close game with a team we should have beaten by 6, so we needed to show our district that we’re back.”

Coach Bob Robidoux agreed with Hester.

“This team tied MCC,” Robidoux said. ” We lost to MCC.  If we didn’t mercy rule this team, the district, region will still think we’re a weak team and will come at us hard.  This game made a statement. This is the game we needed.”
