The boys’ soccer preseason opens tonight at 7:30 against Montverde Academy on the Melbourne High School field.

“Montverde hasn’t lost in five years,” sophomore goalkeeper Cooper Stein said. “So I’m hoping we can at least keep it a close game. We played them last year and lost 3-2, but we played very well together so I’d like to see us go out and give Montverde a hard time once again.”

On Thursday the Wildcats will take on South Fork at 6 p.m.

“Our second preseason is South Fork and we don’t know anything about them really,” Stein said.
