Junior goalie Jack Moore held the Sebastian River Sharks scoreless in the second half, but the offense fell short as the boys’ lacrosse team lost 4-2 Monday.
Sophomore Jake Dimond and freshman Austin Altevogt scored the Wildcats’ two goals .
“We made a major improvement in this game and over last year when we lost to them 12-1,” Moore said. “The defense stepped it up and was more aggressive. Now we need to focus more on the offensive side.”
The defensivee line improved its play against Sebastian and also helped put a goal away, as Dimond took the ball up the field to score a goal.
“Sebastian made two bad passes in a row, so I took the ball and made a fastbreak through the middle of the field,” Dimond said. “I was lucky with the shot and placement because the shot was low and at his ankles.”
