Sophomore Jake Sadowski scored West Shore’s only goal the boys’ lacrosse team fell to the Viera Hawks 19-1 Friday.
“We started the game with our heads in the game and had more heart for this game then we did during the game against Merritt Island,” junior Ryan Bellone said. “But once we started to lose all our mentality was focused on being defeated once again.”
Although members of the team agreed they all came out with intensity and heart for the game, Viera is a strong team and practice is what is needed for a win.
“ They [Viera] outplayed us in every way, they were faster, stronger and bigger,” sophomore Jake Dimond said. “ We came in with heart but lost it halfway through which ruined us as a team. We need to be able to focus through the entire game and focus during practices.”
With continuous defeats on the boys’ minds, they know they have to come out to their next game against Satellite with a positive mentality.
The team will face the Satellite Scorpions on Tuesday night at Satellite’s home field.
