The boys’ lacrosse team won its final game of the season, defeating Melbourne High 6-5 on April 11, giving its members much to ponder during the offseason following a 2-12 campaign. The boys can now take a bit of a break before practicing anytime soon.
“With the season over, it’s much more peaceful. Its really tiring and it’s nice to get a break.” freshman Lev Freeman said.
Although they get a break, some players will still practice during the summer — if not before.
“I play for a local travel team in the offseason and after that I plan on going to a few camps at local collages,” sophomore Chris Melchori said.
Despite ending the season with a victory, Melchori expressed concerns about next year.
“I’m not confident we will have a great turnout next year,” he said. “Right now people aren’t really motivated to do anything over the summer, so we may fall behind.”
