Boys’ basketball falls to John Carroll

Sophomore David Thompson scored 18 points and was 6 for 6 from the 3-point range as the boys’ basketball team fell to John Carroll 58-51 in the season-opener on Nov. 21.

“Everyone was playing hard, but what killed us was the beginning of the first quarter and the third quarter,” sophomore Juan Rodriguez said.

Senior Chris Mikulas was having back issues and couldn’t play in the fourth quarter, while Jake Dimond’s knee injury kept him out of the game.

“When we have everyone healthy, we can win a lot more games and have a chance at going far this year,” Rodriguez said.
