Boys’ and girls’ bowling teams fall to Heritage

Both the boys’ and girls’ bowling teams fell to Heritage High School on Friday. The boys lost 1-6, and the girls fell  3-4.

“We graduated 12 seniors last year. It’s just inexperience,” Coach Thomas Mead said. “They never gave up though. I was proud of that.”

Captain Jimmy Wood and freshman Chris Hinshaw bowled well in individual categories throughout most of the season, but the team finished with a 1-13 record.

“I thought we had a good season even though our record doesn’t reflect that,” sophomore Cullen Capaldi said. “For a lot of us, this was our first season ever playing, so there is a lot of room for improvement.”

The team will compete in the District 11 tournament against all the Southern Conference schools next Tuesday beginning at 8 a.m. The tournament will be held at Shore Lanes Bowling Alley in Palm Bay.
