The girls’ bowling team beat Edgewood, but fell short against Viera and Space Coast and the boys’ team beat Titusville, but lost to Edgewood and Cocoa Beach in a Cape Coast Conference tournament Monday at Brunswick Harbour Lanes.
“It was basically just a courtesy to us and Edgewood, ” Coach Kirk Murphy said. “Technically we do not bowl against anyone. It is a combined score of three traditional games.”
Seventh-grader Chris M. bowled a 243 against Titusville, a 181 against Cocoa Beach and a 146 against Edgewood to lead the boys.
“I think we played very good and we performed very well,” he said. “I pushed myself to get a high score,” he said. “I told myself if I don’t get over 200, I would be disappointed with myself.”
As district play approaches, the season is coming to a close.
“I’m excited for districts, but sad that the bowling season is coming to an end,” senior Kimberly Baylen said.
