The School District will be hosting a meeting today at 5:30 p.m. in Viera to discuss the proposed budget cuts.

Some cuts may include the cutting of corridor busing to choice schools, a fee for registering students to choice schools and the closing of four schools, including South Lake Elementary, Clearlake Middle, Gardendale Elementary and Sea Park Elementary School.

According to Assistant Principal Jim Melia, many of the cuts will be a “nightmare” for schools.
