Astronaut forfeits in boys’ JV soccer finale
January 22, 2018
For the junior-varsity boys‘ soccer team, Thursday’s game against Astronaut prove to be the season’s easiest victory because the War Eagles forfeited before the Wildcats had the chance to take step onto the soccer field. Astronaut claimed it was scheduled to play another team at this time. Several Wildcat players expressed disappointment because many were looking forward to ending the season with some more playing time.
“I was planning on scoring a hat trick today but now I can’t, and we had to drive an hour to the fields for nothing,” middle-schooler Sam E. said.
The fruitless drive also annoyed middle-schooler Brody H.
“I was mad about the drive because it was a waste of time if we don’t get to play, and it was the last game of the junior-varsity season which is sad,” he said.
