Art students await watercolor instruction

In Annamarie Zink’s seventh-period drawing and painting II class has been patiently waiting for artist Teresa Ferguson’s arrival for a month now. She is scheduled to teach the class this week. The class spent a full class period last week debating which photo would work the best with Ferguson’s instruction. Ferguson is a watercolor teacher at the Melbourne Adult Learning Center located across the street from Melbourne High School.

“I really wanted to do the dice falling out of the jar,” sophomore Samantha Grant said, “ but it seemed that my choice was not everyone else’s.”

The class watched a Ferguson photo montage that included photographs of crayons falling out of glass jars and dice falling out of jars.

“Class, we really need to make a decision today, Teresa is coming next week,” an excited Zink said.
