Former Principal Rick Fleming, who retired last year after being principal of the  school for 17 years, waves to the crowd. “This event is awesome, but they should save it for years when we get blue ribbons,” junior Kellyn Hoffmann said. “It would make the event even more special.”

Students play Gaga ball, where players try to eliminate opponents by hitting them with a ball below the knees. “I’ve been playing Gaga ball for years now, as a boy scout,” junior Parker Wales said. “Although I think my lack of skill seen today comes from the mass amount of people in the pit. I’m typically used to bouncing the balls off the walls and on to people to get them out. The school should invest in an in-ground wooden gaga pit, then I’ll play better.”
