Thanks to four kills by seniors Meagan Larsen and Kaitlyn Forry and seven aces from junior Alyssa Johnson, the West Shore Lady Wildcats came away with a senior night victory in straight sets, 25-7, 25-15, 25-9 over Brevard Christian.
Junior Amanda Farthing who contributed three assists and two kills was impressed with her teams easy win.
“It wasn’t our most exciting game,” Farthing said, “but it was good that we won.
Not everyone was thrilled with the performance, however. Sophomore Jenna Forry received more playing time than usual, but criticized the team’s play.
“Sometimes when the game is easy it causes unforced errors,” Forry said, “and that can be frustrating for the team.”
Senior John Bocinsky was in the stands for the blowout, but the action didn’t interest him.
“It was boring because they killed them,” Bocinsky said. “The seniors barely played, and it wasn’t good.
With this victory the team improved to 11-5 and sent off the two seniors with a resounding victory.
