Dance for a Cure set for Jan. 13

Dancers will pile in to the Florida Institute of Technology’s Clemente Center for on Jan. 13 for Stephanie Shaw’s Senior Project, the fifth annual “Dance for a Cure.” The event is a fund-raiser for the Susan G. Komen Foundation to support breast cancer research.

Six middle school and high school teams and five studio teams will each be performing between one and 10 dance routines. Dancers should be at the event by 1 p.m. Doors will open at 1:30 p.m., and the performances will begin at 2 p.m. Tickets are available for purchase from now until the week of Jan. 7 at Melbourne Dancewear. Tickets in advance are $10 for adults, $5 for children ages 5 to 13 and children under 5 are free. Tickets at the door are $15 for adults and $8 for children.
