The fourth period chamber chorus performed at the School Board Meeting in Viera on Oct. 22. This was their first time performing at a School Board Meeting, and they were invited to perform by Principal Rick Fleming.

“I am excited we were given this opportunity,” senior Lauren Burns said. “We were able to show off our talent outside of school and our regular concerts during the school year.”

The fourth period chamber chorus class had been practicing since the beginning of the school year to prepare for this performance.

“The practices have been intense because it is difficult music,” chorus teacher Amy Davis said. “But the students have well-developed voices, and they have been practicing since the beginning of the school year so they are well prepared.”

Chamber chorus consists of a group of chamber singers, mostly upper classmen, and will be accompanied by junior Melanie Richardson. They will be performing eight songs at the School Board Meeting.
